HIKING-WALKING "LETS WALK TOGETHER"

Everything is summarized in the title: a friendly activity on established trails, which do not require a specialist escort. The hikes are friendly and informal for the ARM members each taking personal responsibility for their safety.

The trails are generally well maintained but in the mountains nature can sometimes produce surprises with short steep slopes, slippery areas and degraded remnants of rain.

Tuesday, 12^th July: Refuge de Bostan: 780 m in 4 h 45

Depart Chardonnière Bridge, crossing the Col de la Golèse to reach the refuge at the foot of the Dents d’Oddaz. Small loop to return home to Chardonnière.

Tuesday, 19^th July: Nifflon d’en Haut: 800 m in 4 h 45

Depart Seytroux-Les Culées, views of the Vallée du Brévon, return via the Col de Balme.

Tuesday, 26^th July: Tour de Lachau: 770 m in 4 h 45

Depart Chalets de Bise in Vallée d'Abondance, loop around la Pointe de Lachau by Pas de la Bosse and the Col d'Ubine.

Tuesday, 2^nd August: Chalets de Lens: 680 m in 4 h 30

Depart Lindarets, over the Col du Couti and return by the Col de Bassachaux.

Tuesday, 9^th August: Chalets de Salles: 700 m 4 h 30

Depart Sixt Fer à Cheval Le Lignon, a very popular classic, out and back, always with waterfalls and often marmots and ibex.

Tuesday, 16^th August: Cols de Coux and Brétolet: 820 m 5 h 00

Depart Lac des Mines d’Or, and this year if the weather is favourable - first observation of bird migration.

All these walks are accessible to all, the times allow for some breaks. Meet at 8:30 am at the Morzine Tennis Club and make use of car sharing to the start. Provide snacks, drinks, shoes in good condition, rain coat, sunglasses, hat and camera. Return between 4:00 and 5:00 pm

The alpine routes in Chablais

Take place from 29^th July to 7^th August. The main theme will be: the forest, in conjunction with the International Year of the forest. Hikes at all levels are offered free with specialist guides in mountain activities: in Vallée d’Aulps, Abondance or Brevon, in Bas Chablais and Pays du Léman. Sunday, 21^st August, The Couratt 'Nyon

This is a race for athletes but also a pleasant family hike open to all. Departure from Morzine Tourist Office, arrival at Plateau or Pointe de Nyon Nyon. On-site registration.

Details on all these activities will be communicated in real time on the ARM Notice board in the Tourist Office, Morzine.
